The Man Behind the Garden

Vincent D'Accolti Sr. — Grandpa Vinny to the family — ran a garden center and farm stand in Bethpage, Long Island for over thirty years. He grew enough food from a single piece of backyard property to feed our entire family every summer. He made it look effortless, because for him, it was.

I grew up on that property. My father ran his landscaping company from the same address. I was there every day — not as a visitor, but as a little guy absorbing everything by proximity. At the greenhouse workbench learning how to plant seeds. Watching how to level dirt before laying sod. Pricing pumpkins at the farm stand. Timing tulips so they'd be ready to sell at Easter.

He's been gone for twenty years. But the property is still there — and this spring, we're building it back.

What We Do

Grandpa's Garden is a gardening education brand built around one idea: the knowledge that used to get passed down in person doesn't have to be lost. We teach people to grow their own food using real, time-tested methods — the kind that come from thirty years of doing it for a living, not from a YouTube channel.

We're based at Grandpa Vinny's original Bethpage, Long Island property. Everything we teach, we grow. Every piece of content comes from that land.
